Ice Abstracts

I’ve been working on a new series of pictures. I’m usually not too motivated to shoot in the winter, but this winter has been much colder and drier than usual. I’ve been enjoying getting out with my macro lens and exploring the ice.
One of my watercolor paintings was juried into a watercolor show today. University Unitarian Church is having an exhibit comprised of the work of Molly Hashimoto and her students. Seascape or concrete wall?

This is the image in the EAFA show. It’s a picture I took at Fort Worden a few weeks ago. I love this image because it appears from a distance to be the sun over a watery landscape. Closer inspection reveals it to be a concrete wall. The title of the image is “Wall.”
